# Pricing

> TalkCut pricing plans, credit system, and costs per operation.

TalkCut uses a credit-based system. Your plan includes a monthly credit allowance, and each AI operation costs a certain number of credits.

## Credit system

Credits are the currency for AI generation in TalkCut. Every operation — generating an image, creating a video, analyzing media — costs a specific number of credits.

### Credits per operation

| Operation                  | Credits | Notes                                  |
| -------------------------- | ------- | -------------------------------------- |
| Generate an image          | 20–150  | Varies by complexity                   |
| Edit an image              | 20–150  | Varies by complexity                   |
| Text to video              | 840     | From text description                  |
| First and last frame video | 840 | Transition between two images |
| Reference video            | 840     | Video with reference image consistency |
| Analyze an image           | 10      | Via vision engine                      |
| Analyze a video            | 10      | Via vision engine                      |
| Remove background          | 1       | —                                      |
| Upscale image (2x)         | 100     | —                                      |
| Auto Name (per group)      | 5       | AI-generated group names               |

### Credit packs

Need more credits? Purchase additional packs that never expire:

| Pack            | Price |
| --------------- | ----- |
| 5,000 credits   | \$5   |
| 10,000 credits  | \$10  |
| 20,000 credits  | \$20  |
| 50,000 credits  | \$50  |
| 100,000 credits | \$100 |
| 200,000 credits | \$200 |

Credit packs are one-time purchases. Unused pack credits carry over indefinitely — they don't expire at the end of the month.

### How credits refresh

Your monthly plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle. Unused monthly credits do not roll over. Credit pack purchases are separate and never expire.

<Note>
  If a generation fails due to a model error or timeout, the credits for that operation are automatically refunded to your account.

## FAQ

<Accordion title="What happens if I run out of credits?">
  AI generation pauses until your credits reset at the start of your next billing cycle, or you purchase a credit pack. You can still access your workspace, projects, and existing content — you just can't generate new content.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Can I cancel at any time?">
  Yes. Cancel your subscription at any time from the settings page. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. Credit packs you've purchased remain available even after cancellation.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Do credit packs expire?">
  No. Credit packs never expire. They remain in your account until used, regardless of subscription status.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="How are credits shared across a team?">
  Credits are pooled at the workspace level. All team members draw from the same credit balance. You can track per-member usage in the [settings](/workspace/settings) page.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Why do credit costs vary for images?">
  TalkCut automatically selects the best AI model for each request. Different models have different computational costs, which is reflected in the credit range. More complex or higher-quality generations may use models that cost more credits.
